I watched one before Christmas on UK-TV. It came with a trigger warning: "contains references to smoking and depictions of historic rural activities which some viewers may find challenging". FFS....
This one had Jack bashing a trout on the head. I can imagine that would have come with trigger warning.
The one I saw he was standing amoungst some cow parsley on a river bank with his pipe in his mouth (Gallagher's Honeydew blend, from memory - Jack used to live just over the hill from me). He caught a small chubb, explained to the viewers that they were dreadful to eat before returning it to the river unharmed. Apparently generation-snowflake might find that traumatic...
Bit of a binge this evening. Watched Das Tiger, found it disappointing TBH. Plot somewhat unfeasible until the end... Just didn't gel with it. Seemed like action for action's sake, stringing together a weak story. Also watched first two episodes of Pluribus on AppleTV. Created by Vince Gilligan who was behind Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Reading the short intro I wasn't too sure but am now looking forward to the rest.
Looking forward to The Odyssey later this year. Apparently, Matt Damon can't find his way home again....
Just cancelled my up and coming subscription renewal to Disney+, (ends in Feb) see if they try to tempt me back? Remember when it started it was £68yr and that was the full fat version (there was only one version back then) now it’s £72/£100/£150! Do the same every year with Paramount+ and they offer it to me half price, we are actually watching quite a lot of stuff on there. I think you can get it cheaper cashing in Tesco points?
Another Mat Armstrong on Youtube with the Bugatti on channel 2, i only watch Youtube these days and i see that shite BBC wants to upload it's stuff on their site. This can only mean one thing with the TV licence.
I saw this years ago but I happened to be scrolling on Netflix and it came up. I think that I will watch it again for a laugh!
Just finished S1 & S2 after the Flood, which we both enjoyed. last night we went with another couple to The Everyman and watched The Housemaid. Blokes enjoyed it, wives thought it was a bit gory. But for me it had a twist, sex, violence and bad language all good movie ingredients.highly recommended.
