Cow astonishes scientists with rare use of tools Warning: video may contain a scene with a cow scratching it's arse https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj0n127y74go
"The discovery, reported by researchers in Vienna, suggests cows may have far greater cognitive abilities than previously assumed." That's why I no longer eat mammals. I'd already given up eating pork and bacon after finding out that pigs have a similar intelligence and emotional range to dogs, but then I made friends with some cows in a field next to where I walk my dog and so I ended up having to give up beef burgers and steak too. The same 5 or 6 bullocks, cows and calves would come over to the fence each time we stopped to say hello, exhibiting curiosity and after a few days, what looked like excitement to see us, but then one day the field was empty and I realised they'd probably been taken away for slaughter. I've also given up shooting rabbits. Oddly, I did recently try to shoot a rat that has taken up residence underneath some steps in my garden, but that would have been in self-defence as they carry pathogens and it might bite my dog. However, it refused to take the bait I had left out for it while I waited patiently with my Air Arms S410 TDR in my sniper's nest on the upper part of my terrace, so it lives to carry Weils Disease and occasionally eat the contents of my dog's poo bags another day. I suspect that in 100 years we will come to see the eating of animals in similar moral terms to how we now view chattel slavery. I still eat birds and fish though, because fuck those over-evolved dinosaurs and their slimy aquatic ancestors.
You do know that vegetables have to die before you can eat them? And you don't even kill them first, unless skinning them alive is fatal, but if so it's a callous form of despatch. And it's not as if they have the chance to run away. There they are in their vegetable beds, they see you coming with a spade, thinking Fuuuuck! and here's nothing they can do. Then you pull them up by their hair, scrub them raw with a stiff brush and throw them into boiling water. It's appalling.
I won’t say which orange ballbag I’d like to see this happen to for the sake of the thread, but what a picture

Typical statement from the side of love and inclusiveness...some picture non the less, must have been armored I guess.
I believe all the info given by the rescued is false, from other sources the only possible number that's correct is the phone number from their emergency call. Unless there are pictures of them and the internet can do it's best. It's been suggested to crowdfund it. It's still a despicable act though.
Factual text about the assassination, but an AI image I'm pretty sure. Just trying to keep it real. Ref: http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/december/20/newsid_2539000/2539129.stm
