  1. 100% and they never warm up as bright as the originals in my opinion...........the toes are now intact without bits missing.

  5. Most, if not all, of our bayonet fitting bulbs are LED, low power consumption, very bright

I have fitted LED srip lights in the garage, far better than fluorescent lights

  6. I made the mistake of buying a box of led lamps, going cheap, a while back. They were new to the market at the time and in my eagerness to part with my cash didn’t read the description on the box which clearly stated ‘white light’.
So bright they nearly burned out your retinas and made everything they illuminated seem anemic
Soon learned ‘warm white’ is the way to go.

  7. I did wonder before replying, but my post number was directly before Phil's so fairly logical assumption considering..

  10. I have the opposite problem as I have disproportionately long arms. Long legs too, or as less charitable people might say, a short torso. My ex missus was the same and one of our sons received a genetic double dose of those traits so he’s built like a harvester spider. Unlike 5’9” me, he’s also very tall (6’4”). That’s basically the perfect frame for a goalkeeper and indeed that is what he does for a living. My dad was also a semi-pro goalie but when he was 21 he received an injury which almost killed him so he stopped playing. I used to play in goal at both indoor and field hockey, plus I played American football as a free safety, a position which involves a lot of jumping and parrying/catching and I was pretty good at water polo, for the same reasons. The other son, who is a boxer, also has long arms which gives him a nice reach advantage

Anyway. I have to buy shirts from TM Lewin as they do a range of sleeve lengths, or else the cuffs are half way up my forearms.

  12. The post in question is from @Zhed46

    Post number #97605

Also, Phill748 did quote Zhed, are you not on speaking terms with zhed?

Just curious, as his quoted text should be visible

  13. Was it your last day of 'work' today?

  14. There are a number of bedwetters who have blocked me and it seems one of them may be reaping what they have sown by not being able to properly follow a discussion due to missing posts.

  16. It's very silly indeed, especially as each time it has been over what amounted to the square root of fuck all. What sort of man is so fragile that they feel they need to do that? It's very feminine-coded behaviour. I blame microplastics and the contraceptive pill! :D

I abandoned Visordown not long after TWO bought it and the mods started banning people.

  17. Went for afternoon tea with the wife for her birthday, it’s not my thing at all but at least I came away feeling completely ripped off for a few shitty bits of sandwich and some stale cakes, bargain at £54 bastard quid.

  18. Where was that?

Asking for myself, so I can avoid the place, seeing as I'm a tight arsed Yorkshireman :joy:
