As the last sale worked so well, I thought i'd try again with these two. Honda XL600 and Honda XR600 - i don't remember the exact year of each bike. I've owned them around ten years and both were running when i bought them. XR is kickstart only, XL has an electric start. I looked over them briefly recently and both engines turn. As you can see, far from ideal "storage" conditions but a combination of factors meant i had no choice over the years. I have logbooks in my name for both. They are more or less complete but can't find the plastic XR tank at the moment. I would split depending on interest, but just to clear i would like £700 for the pair. To keep thread clear could i ask anyone who is seriously interested to Direct/Private message me in the first instance. Bikes are in Surrey
If anybody's out there then perhaps the simple way forward is to make one out of the two and sell the remaining parts as spares...........just a thought.
Bump - if anyone already has either of these, then you won't find a cheaper complete spare engine anywhere, I promise you. Breakers probably ask a similar amount just for the lovely pumper carburettors. and those of you that are aware of the folklore surrounding the "XR" version, these probably still command 5 to 6K in reasonable condition. It's a long time since I've looked. Again, no need to correct me on this thread, just send me a direct message if you are seriously interested.
