Hi all I have 750 Paso that I’ve rescued from the dead! I’ve done the carburettor and repainted the scratched bodywork- 3D printed some missing plastics too. I need the rev counter gear that goes into the front head, for some reason it is missing! Also I need a rev counter cable and a fuel level sender unit. Anyone? Thanks. Simon
The Paso is an unloved model, so well done you for taking her in for some love. I bought a new 906 back in the 1980s and had many admiring looks from allsorts who had never seen a bike entirely wrapped in fibre glass.
The Paso was the very first motorbike that made me do a double take...it was so unique at the time. I couldn't have been more than 10 yrs old.
NEW GENUINE DUCATI SUPERSPORT SS900 750 600 REV COUNTER CABLE BUSHING 066092150 Same part number as Paso, part number 52 but do your own check.
Welcome. Pics please! PS: Loads of valuable info accumulated over the years on the ducatipaso forum. I got every technical info I needed when I restarted a pair of 900ss from the same era (89-90). https://ducatipaso.org/
Part no 52 is the body of the mechanism, described by Ducati as a Bushing. The OP says he needs the gear that goes into the head, which is sold as a pair of gears numbered 41 on the diagram. Unfortunately these appear to be unavailable now. @slimlavud Is it both gears you need? Or just one of them? I believe I have this stashed away in a box of spares I vowed never to sell as they are so hard to find, but will have a look at the weekend to assess it's condition:
Thank you Nasher, and everyone. I have found a gear and will put it in and try it soon. Ive fouind a fuel level sender also. I'm resurrecting this 750 Paso as I think it is such an interesting bike from an engineering and history point of view. With its special frame and early use of 16 inch wheels and it's creation as a tribute to Renzo Pasolini, it's one of those machines, like the Ducati Apollo, the Audi A2, the BMW i3, that was a loss leader and was unlikely to have made the makers much, if any, profit.
