Hard to believe, Guy Martin built his Pikes Peak challenger in 2016. I have tried to follow the internet trail regarding Martek but it’s convoluted to say the least. The company who fabricated Guy’s frame (using a Suzuki frame as the base) went bust and one of the partners appears to have been running a one man business fabricating bespoke frames to order, under the Martek name, up to as late as 2024. Lots of negative feedback and all sorts of allegations made about him and his business, on social media. IMO, as a one off, hand fabricated chassis, its cost does not reflect its value but if someone is prepared to pay for the individuality, that's what they've got to pay. You’ve got to ask yourself, has the “Guy Martin” association influenced the asking price though ? Andy
I suppose what ever some punter is would pay , but that doesnt mean its worth it. People only know o fthat make of frame because of GM . Its not got history like a Harris Magnum. Its nicely made i'll agree to that. Unsure of what wheels and which model forks they are ......... £8k
Somebody may well pay that price for it to have it now. If Martek are like all other manufacturers of that type of thing you'd probably be looking at an 18 month to 2 year wait for one from them.
