I was up the coast in Sligo watching surfers at Strandhill. First time I’d seen an electric hydrofoil in operation, look like fun.
Saw one come down the Thames near Kingston a couple of years ago. Bloke on it did look cooler than a cool thing hts.
Ah okay, not far away. Lovely drive. I was fascinated watching lads on those hydrofoils on Lake Annecy. Self propulsion, looks tricky- had a good chat with them. Beautifully made, cost loads but you can see why…
I had to go to Somerset for work and hoped to combine it with a bit of #vanlife for a few days, but after a night and a morning up to my ankles in mud and getting soaked to the skin and in a field near Glastonbury I said “fuck it” and came back home again. I’m also supposed to be out on a TRF group ride tomorrow doing a route that I love with riders I like, but I suspect it might well be called off. Curses
I will have. I will forever remember the thermal shock I got when I ran along the jetty and dived straight in the lake… Kind of makes sense with all the snow capped mountains surrounding it… but yeah, beautiful place…
