I'm keeping my head down on the^^^^^^666..............but yes it's RIP UK whoever gets in next.! #If i'd listed the names in a new thread on here that inspired me or opened my eyes & ears in 2025 i think i'd have a problem.
Went for a ride with a TRF group but had to bail halfway round (and when I was at the farthest point from home, naturally) because of this little fucker getting stuck in my rear tyre. Second puncture in 4 rides. I was supposed to have had mousses fitted this week but work got in the way. Curses
Collected 4 rescued chickens who we are giving a new home to. They are now becoming adjusted to their new coup and run Andy
The mental patient is fixed again (SXV) - rebuilt the clutch sprag assembly yesterday and put it all back together - started on the button....not without the usual sxv shenanigans - these things really are sent to test you... (anything the involves the SXV is a disproportionate amount of effort) 1. 3 weeks ago thought id use it to go to work on... 2. Wont start...sprag goes... 3. Dismantle the generator side to see what to do. Get parts on order... 4. Sprag doesnt come apart....3 hours to drill out stuck bolts (not to mention 15 quid on drills) 5. Order high tensile bolts, a week to send out the wrong length bolts (too short) 6. Re-order again right bolts turn up (more on that later) 7. For whatever reason im missing a "pin" [the smallest part ive ever seen on a bike] that locks the sensor to the sprag collar. On the rarest of occassions Fowlers has them in stock so i place the order on Friday night (theyve done away with the spares counter now...bastards) but i get no email back on a collection time and its closed sunday. I phone in on monday morning and the spares guy says "hmm not sure where that is - ill message the team" - 5 mins later he calls back and says "so weve got these 10 machines that sort out the parts and one is broken....so about 10 days til we can get it out" = find the pin online - 10 quid [5 days to turn up for that one]. 8. Re-assemble the sprag - high tensile bolts are about 2mm proud so have to grind them down... After all that fucking rigmarole...its working again...for how long i dont know until the next thing falls off or explodes but i wouldnt have it any other way as its all part of being its carer.
