  3. Hi, welcome, and good luck - first words of wisdom; there's no such thing as a cheap Ducati, even if it's free!

Haha, thanks! It came free with the Bike! Brilliant idea, cheers! I've done that before with other parts and saved around 80%.. Brembo brakes are a good example as they quote their part #'s online so very easy to find!

I have been uploading it to YouTube as I go along, that's what ended up steering me here!

I love the exploded diagrams!! I know many parts are simply missing on this, thank you very much!

Thanks, I had a quick look and found Ducati Mondo on eBay, their prices seem reasonable..

I may well be asking as parts do seem unnecessarily expensive.. Surely someone should attempt to make OEM quality replacements.. Afterall, there were several thousand of these sold.. Is there a specific for sale/want part of the forum for this bike?

Thank you! I have been posting updates on YouTube, It is a little easier to navigate for me!

Thank you! I will try to post as often as I can, any feedback? What sort of thing would you like me to cover?

I have the Haynes manual for it, how does yours compare? There is a little detail lacking in the Haynes one..

Haha!! I am finding that out very quickly.. No wonder he was happy to leave such a nice bike!! I may have to end up fabricating some parts myself if I can't find them!

  5. Think you overdone the thankyou's. Good luck anyway.

  7. I bought a dry stored 750ss about three years back and brought it back to life. It’s all doable, there is nothing horrific on them compared to some bikes (especially more modern stuff). The main issues I had was all as expected - degraded rubber and fuel tank rust. Many bearings are available at a fraction of the price from bearing suppliers. Parts availability is good and they strip down very quickly. They are a great bike to have as a project, but don’t make good money when done so be careful of the budget unless you intend to keep a long time.
