I was invited as a friend sponsors them, so they get an annual invite into the base etc and spend time with everyone. Luckily weather was ok yesterday so they flew for us!!
First dry and sunny, if chilly, day here for weeks so pulled the folding camper out of its winter quarters (a Clarkes fabric garage in my back garden) and opened it up for a good airing. Battery is still good, mover motors still turn and the canvas looks dry and mould free. So enthused, booked a ticket to the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome show at the NEC next week Andy
I’ve got an odd week next week so have had to plump for the Tuesday that the show opens. I need 2 things, tent canvas repair tape and re-proofing fluid. Sadly our little home away from home leaked in the biblical rain at the second round at Oulton Park last year and needs a little TLC before testing at Donington. Jumped on the scooter and rode into town for an eye test , good news all round . The scooter was still there when I returned and no need for an upgrade of the reading glasses .
Went to Aldi to buy 5 items - came out £81 lighter, and I didn't buy anything from the middle aisle either!
managed to make my favourite journey, and Thames not as bad as I thought it would be, after the last lock
A little ride into London, which ended up at the Bike shed. Deciding to have some food and then grabbed a haircut. Found these old skool in the garage.
