^^^For me the letter of the new rule book can't be policed correctly when players on the pitch have milliseconds to wrap & lower their bodies for impact, it's inconsistent by the referee and TMO at every match, and don't talk to me about the TOP14 games which's all over the place.

Wondered when you would show up. I watched it today and can see why it was given. But it wasn’t clear in the stadium at all. And imho it’s harsh as blondie was already diving down low. Applying the rules as they are the ref was correct. I personally think the rules have gone too far with no malice or real danger shown here. Does not make a jot of difference of course. England were far, far superior. Wales are in the troughs of a huge slump, possibly terminal.

It seems to have gone very quiet in here, did England lose or something, are ye all in the pub still, drowning your sorrows. . A bit of a shocker really, but it opens up the tournament. As for Ireland they were shite, Italy played well. We just need Wales to beat France tomorrow now.
Scotland did one thing very well, they stopped England playing their normal game, and took advantage of them not having a plan B. Fair play to them.
i'm no expert, but outside of the scum, i think they did everything very well (for a change) from aggression to discipline. their line out's where excellent as was their passing game. chasing down the ball. while nail biting in the early second hallf topped up with Finn's little moments of beauty, the play was excellent to watch. but obviously i'm commenting as a supporter. of the better team.

iirc when the stats came up at the end of the game, England had conceded 10 penalties, Scotland 0. I think that in itself tells us everything.
