I fired up the yellow Superlight after replacing the pick up points, £96 aftermarket parts delivered within 48 hours before Christmas.!
Picked up an ear infection from a recent trip, it wouldn’t equalise as the cabin pressure changed when we approached landing, it was very painful and it has left me bloody mutton in my right ear! Have been prescribed an antibiotic ear spray so hopefully it’ll calm down and normal service will resume.
After weeks of constant rain in southern Spain and days and days of Gale force winds, I finally got out on the V4 today. What a fantastic bike. To say I am pleased would be an understatement, after much purchase deliberation. Easy to ride and a fantastic exhaust note with the Akrapovic system. Only problem was it didn’t want to go at 25km/hr when I was stuck behind a couple of cars. It did everything with ease. Really good ride and faaaaantastic day. That’s the Sierra Nevada in the background, near Granada. Apparently there’s so much snow up there they’ve had to close most of the ski runs and ski lifts. Reservoirs pretty much filled up, last winter and this winter, after years of drought.
Given your current circumstances this requires some clarification; did you do it or did the other one-armed member of the household do it (under your supervision, obviously)
I did it, with a little assistance from the walking zombie (youngest son) Didn't have a spanner or socket big enough for the nut that holds the flush mechanism in place, but, being the type of man I am, I improvised 2 13mm spanners cable tied together It's only stupid if it doesn't work
Admirable work especially with an incapacitated arm! Adjustable gland pliers are you friend for when the arm gets better.
I'll have to get some of them, but, hopefully, I won't need them for a while, the other toilet cistern mechanism was done last year, and for the life of me, I can't remember how I got the nut off that one
Took Doris for a hospital appointment. She was in literally 30 seconds if that. So we decided to go to the canteen and have lunch. Shouldn't have bothered.
