https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1...ll no longer race,likely option to replace it. One of the best bike tracks ever. Proper corners, always close racing, no longer on the calendar for MotoGP. This is a sad indictment of the way the so called premier class is going.
PI is a great track, but its facilities need huge investment for a circus the size of MotoGP. PI’s facilities are worse than Donington. WSBK maybe ok. The “Bend” has a convincing case for hosting MotoGP simply because it’s facilities are a lot better, I have no idea what the track is like. Presumably if PI had submitted an investment plan on time MotoGP would remain. Just as an aside, Silverstone’s grip on F1 is very tenuous.
