Hoovered the car out for the first time in about 18 months. Cleaned out some gunge from behind the front sprocket cover on my SL. watched all the wsbk races . Just about to have a nice roast dinner.
Nerdy as fuck but built a gaming machine [ a steam box as theyre called now ] out of an old ex-bit coin mining rig. Runs linux out of the box so no windows licencing...all you need is your steam account. The price of storage and ram is rocketing as one of the 3 memory/storage cartels worldwide has said...fuck it we're not selling to retail any more...real world upshot of that is 64gb of ram 6 months ago was about 2-300 quid...now...almost a grand. Built this for about 500 quid all in....
Just messing about as I leave Torntsn today. When bikes of the same type as you owned are shown in a museum , I guess that it's a sign of getting old!
Probably in the late 1990's we moved to Winterbourne and my then wife needed the car to get to work in Brizzle and I was supposed to get the works bus to Rolls-Royce. I Always missed the bus and had to walk. My Darmah was broken and so I bought a cheap knackered out RD200 just to commute to work. It was OK and I think that it went in p/x for a Kwacker ZXR=400 that got me into Track Days!
Silver bird back to the UK a couple of days ago. Now down in Saaf Landon’ because our daughter has just had her first child. A baby girl who so far has no name. So she’s called Goujon at the moment because that’s what she looked like on the first scan. All of a sudden we now have 3 grandchildren Gone from 1 to 3 in no time. All great stuff, all healthy, everyone’s happy. This is a different view of the Sierra Nevada compared to the one I posted a few days ago. No shortage of snow. Rain back here is miserable. Thinking of flying back as soon as we’ve made sure everything is on an even keel here.
