Yes, have a NOS spare set also. There are a few carbon trinkets in addition to the standard carbon stuff but otherwise still original - put different wheels on it last year for a change and think they really suit the bike. Wish I had made that change sooner
Yea. Those wheels look great I have to agree. Mine is 100% standard apart from this! Not sure it make much difference the way I ride nowadays (I'm 62 now), I've had it for close to 20 years now, but I like the way it looks...!
Had mine from new, so 30 years give or take a day or two. And I will be 63 in March... hopefully got a few more summer rides yet! I have umm'ed and aah'ed about a more modern sports bike but tbh this does pretty much everything I am remotely capable of in that department!
Here’s my Diva. Bone stock 916 SP3. I got it 4 years ago with only 4.500km on the clock. It is at 12.000km now. I am 52 and really glad to know that I have at least 10 more years to go, based on you guys reports… But I too must confess that I like to faff around with mag wheels, as these become as agile as a 848 when rid of their heavy OEM boat anchors. The only pair of OEM disks I have must stay on the OEM wheels, though… Carb/Mag Dymag (2003 DP catalog): Marchesini Mags (1996 Ducati catalog)
No, I have osteoarthritis, mainly in my feet, which has got progressively worse over the years to the point where even putting shoes on is agony. Any type of pressure (i.e. shifting up, shoes/boots touching, sudden pressure. etc.) caused a lot of sharp pain. Been putting it off for years but it has now got to the point where I need to do something. Had the left foot, the least serious one, operated on in January, so this the other one - a sort of BOGOF deal! Fingers crossed...
