1200 DVT No Hill Assist?

Hi guys mates just bought a 2016 1200s dvt exactly same as my bike but as we went though it while out other day I was showing him his to do hill assist and we couldn’t get his bike to activate it.
Is there a chance he may not have it or could there be a fault preventing it?

Is yours a late 1200 DVT? Not sure if the earlier 1200 DVTs had Vehicle Hold Control.

Can't find it mentioned in the handbook for the 2015 or 2016 model but it's in the 2017 handbook. Maybe added for that year?
