Really enjoyed the two BBC Piano room compilations that were aired Saturday night on BBC 2. I've seen a few Piano Rooms previously with a single artist, but these were really very good The BBC Concert orchestra give a wonderfully different background to well known 'popular' songs. It's really unusual for anything on Telly to keep my interest for more than 1/2hr, but these did. A real standout for me was Pink's rendition of 'Nothing compares to you'. On her own, not to be confused with the still good rendition she did with Brandi Carlile at Sinéad O'Connor's tribute.
Class, pure Class. I challenge you to watch this all the way through without a big smile forming and the hairs tingling on the back of your neck.
Yes, it's on their Flogging a Dead Horse Album which I still listen to occasionally, but I'm afraid simply isn't in the same league as the Jessie J version.
you wanna talk about hairs tingling on your neck? lady artist? I defy you to find another person who could even sing this anywhere close.
