After rounding off two of the cheesium bolts on my Multistrada (2014 GT) while doing the oil service today, I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a kit to replace them, and I might go the whole hog if someone does a decent kit for the entire bike. Have done a few google searches and turned up a few of the usual suppliers but none of the kits seem to specifically mention the sump guard. If anyone has had one before and can make a recommendation that would be wonderful MM
Where bolts are on the way out ie about to round off (or worse, have already ), I simply replace them with s/steel cap head bolts of the same dimensions of which I have a vast array to hand. They’re readily available from a variety of sources, even your local B&Q or hardware store singly. Never forget though to apply the correct anti-seize or thread lock dependent upon what material you’re bolting it into or else you’ll end up with my current pet hate/frustration - galvanic corrosion.
Well there was sod all in b and q so I’m putting in an order to race bolt. They’ve got everything I need except I can’t find these, what is the correct name for them?
