So the next question is...my starter solonoid is the one with the white 2 pin plug. The plug looks extremely iffy and doesn't seem to fit very well. There's a later version of the solonoid with a remote plug, as in the 2 wires exit the solonoid and terminate at a grey plug. Otherwise it looks the same. Would this be a useful upgrade? My Dealer used to zip tie the connector. This looks like a good mod, but you may have to change the bikes wiring. One thjing that occured to me when I replaced the solenoid for the 2nd time. How old is the replacement (has it been sitting on a shelf for 10 years. My 2nd unit stuck very quickly
