Cheers. I got the dongle with both those programs on, neither of them would connect after soooooo many attempts. Took the laptop out to the shed, connected it, followed the instructions, watched the youtube vids and then other vids, then forum posts... nope, wouldn't do it. I'll give it another go with that link, thanks. I've inspected everything as I took it apart, replaced the sparks (they were ok but wet) and I think the MAP is the likely culprit thinking about it. I don't want to buy a 2nd hand one really, because it's the same thing, it's only a thin bit of wire and cars do more miles typically, so more wear. Plus it's 20+ years old now. If I can buy a new car MAP that's compatible with the bike, that's the way to go. I do not want to go down the stripping the engine route, not at £200+ per piston ring kit and gaskets. The bike wasn't run often enough, wasn't long journeys really, 50-100 miles maybe, with brews inbetween. So with new sparks, map, oil and filter, it should be okay. While the tank is off, I'm going to have a look at the fuel sensor, think the guy glued on the cap though, so that will be FUN. Not.
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/8279846 for the punto11, they have the OEM one but it's out of stock. No spec list though, so can't check kpa etc
i have owned an S4 for 22 years in Thailand i do all my own work ,, when you put the stick coils back in spray them with silicone especially the front one .... The S4 is very sensitive to its TPS ,, can be cause of poor running and fueling especially at slow speed ... can be set with a good digital multimeter and patience at 152mv with butterflys closed fully closed ,, air screws can make it run rich too,,, does not run well on standard pipes needs open carbon fibre ones and some tweaks ,,,, i have lots of info on these bikes. min e now develops 117hp on dyno and has been all over SEA now 43k miles i also have 2 other ducatis in UK
