got myself one of them knox protective mesh shirt things having tried the pando equivalent but the fit was pants what are you lot wearing over your protective mesh shirt things? im not doing a hoody and am thinking a textile jacket with not much armour
I wear absolutely anything I fancy over mine, the Knox is the protection. I wear a shirt, a soft-shell jacket, a lumberjack style jacket and yes even a hoody, literally whatever you fancy.
For most of the year here, nothing. Middle month or two of winter a fluorescent orange Goretex shell which is also quite useful in a ligh drizzle.
A cycling jacket underneath if it's dry and chilly. If there's a risk of rain then a Dainese waterproof. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19796875...deb||&var=497202780087&loc_physical_ms=132889
Similar to DucatiScud with my Knox. My older version has a long horizontal pocket at the rear I put a shell waterproof in for chilly mornings. Which is stuffed in pocket when temps rise. I believe the latest version got rid of this? Why I have no idea
I have a Dual Pro to go over the top of mine. A good solution, though would be better if the shell was waterproof rather than just shower proof. Though I have a Scott jacket and trousers for when the heavens open, the rest of the time this works well and is adaptable to almost all weather conditions when touring. It packs down small and the quilted inner is smart enough to wear when out in the evening, if it's cool (think mountain locations), for food and a beer when on tour.
