V4 Now A V4 Rs Owner

Great news for you and enjoy your new bike. I went for the M1000xr for a change , bonkers as well , not got all the bells and whistles as the V4 but a mad engine and its good on tyres ( well so far lol) Happy new bike and ride safe.

 

I thought you've been a bit quiet on here lately!

 

Well , I had bought a 25 plate V4 s again , got lent an M1000r for a few days as my mate was away . Loved it , complete change from the V4 , but a bit to cramped . So on that engine alone decided the XR was better . I was right .
Not as pampered as the V4 but very engaging as a Time Machine lol .

 

I was also concerned about the dry clutch longevity, especially given the amount of mileage I seem to do, so my MY26 RS will be converted to a wet clutch before too long, happy to forgo the iconic rattle

 

and yet a dry clutch is a £3k option for bikes with standard wet clutch. crazy

 

Maybe we could do a swap!

I would worry about your tyres as well , 3k , you need to factor in a tyre change
