  6. latest rumours I got was that the presentation will be end March and there are 500 "normal" Superleggeras and 100 "special" SL's, and that pricing for the "specials" is a lot more expensive than anyone has sofar suggested (150k++). IMHO the pricing is completely insane. But am curious to see it and see if it brings something new to the table :)

  7. Call me an old cynic but my bet is that it wont be £150k's worth of "something new to the table"

  14. base, 500 bikes, tricolor 100 bikes and hellish price, all here way too low with the guess for the tricolour ! I don’t see the point on this one, price will never hold in my lifetime and with inflation I reckon one could lose their ass, so thats the investment reason shot, no normal person would ride it in the road or track, bear in mind I ride my 1299SL on the road, I think this is way off, consider the Honda a few years back was 135k but it was near enough a motogp bike and the values went sky high, but on the other hand unlike all the Ltd editions that follow the SLs they are hand built and for the most part nothing like the models, for sure the 1299SL even the panels are a different shape than the production bikes.

  15. Hmm, just received the "preview" email. Will see it in the flesh at WDW2026. High specs for sure but if it's rumoured to be pitched at north of £150k I wonder if VAG group are overestimating their true worth for what is essentially a V4 with trick goodies as even this makes the 1299SL seem like a steal and is no where near as good looking a bike. Most of the 500 will never see the light of day I suspect, probably ending up gathering dust in private collections. I rather hoped Ducati would have been more inventive and brought out a worthy successor to the Desmosedici RR which is in every sense a far more groundbreaking example of creativity. This latest offering feels like nothing more than a heavily titivated V4 and seemingly offers little in the way of innovation that hasn't already been done before.

  16. Agree, you would think a new Desmo is in order, they seem to have removed the 100 SL tricolors! with its super high price, I think the SL 1299 is the neatest of them all!
