you’ll know if it’s had the remap as it will say EVO under the riding mode. The official remap not only remaps the fuelling but also all the rider aids/traction controls and rider/engine interface.
Im out on mine at present so ran through some tests. At 2000 rpm in 3rd I’m doing 30kmh/20mph, smooth as anything. In 4th at 2000rpm its 37kmh still smooth but obviously labours a bit at first when you open the throttle. In 2nd its doing 23kmh still as smooth as anything. Thst was in all modes except Sport (I think it’s called Race on yours) when it was a bit jerky but thats simply because the throttle response between right hand and throttle valves is so direct that every single undulation in the road causes it to jerk. In fact our roads around here are, on the whole, so un smooth I don’t use Sport, just use Touring but have set the engine at full power rather than the reduced 135bhp it’s at by default. ps I don’t have a throttle space fitted, never felt the need.
Useful stuff, thanks. So it has been remapped because it definitely comes up as Evo. I was surprised that touring came up as Evo. I’ll fit the throttle gizmo anyway and adjust the chain, then go from there. Thanks again.
Standard V4 Pikes Peak with no issues in that speed area. Nothing. Came from a 2015 Monster 1200S ... that was buckling like mad. Not the PP. Have you tried ACC? Is that the same? Might give you an idea Where to search
