  1. From experience - I found the screen “buttons” on 5” units a bit small to prod with gloved hand when mounted on the windscreen and on the move but fine if you mounted it on the handlebars. I did put some photos on ukgser of the 5” unit I had.

  2. I went around Morocco with a Carpuride W702. No brightness issues at all. Screen was nice and visible.

  3. I could be interested in buying your XT2 should you decide that it is no longer suitable for your needs.

  5. I went with the Aocci C6Pro as I thought the carpuride was a bit big.
    Used the Iconic mount.
    Very pleased with it

  6. This morning I pressed the button on a Carpuride W602 S pro, seems to me the 5” is similar to my Garmin and the 7” might be too large.

What finally pushed me over the edge was I have recently installed and setup an app based system to operate the gate and garage door. My expectation is I will in future be able to open both without getting off my bike.

Let’s see, if it’s as good as I’m led to believe, is this the end for the very expensive Garmin/TomTom devices?

  7. If you're intending to use the app through Carpuride, it'll have to be Carplay/Android Auto compatible. Not all apps are.

Personally, if I had such an app, I'd prefer to use Siri/Gemini to open the garage door using voice commands.

  8. IMO, probably not as long as there are riders like me who don't use a mobile phone whilst riding. That said my S25 Ultra doesn’t fit anywhere on my bike nor does it have a convenient waterproof USB. There is also the thorny issue of lack of mobile phone signal, especially in the mountains of north Wales and in the highlands of Scotland. I’m also not sure about data usage on the European continent. Some providers seem to let you use your data and some charge extra. I’m sure there are ways around the issues but I CBA :D Andy

  9. I was a diehard TomTom user for years and now use the Carpuride and my phone. My Vodafone plan includes the EU for data and many apps give you downloadable offline maps where the mobile signal is poor. the phone can be charged on the go via a USB port. For me battery life on the phone is an issue but only on all day rides. The choice of mapping apps is pretty good as well, I now have TomTom Go, MRA, and now even Calimoto is on Android phones. There will always be some who prefer dedicated Garmin or TomTom devices but that market will continue to shrink IMO.

  10. Kind of off topic, but I have just bought the W702 s pro, and was wondering the best way to connect phone and cardo Neo to it? plus occasionally with a pillion. And is it best just to stop the phone connection to the TFT on the Multi

  11. I too have just installed the W702 S Pro with the BMW style mount. Very easy to install (and remove) but maybe a little large! My wife and I use the Cardo Edge. If you go on the Carpuride website they recommend you use Method 1 with the Cardo so that control remains with the phone/Cardo set up, i.e. phone, music, intercom and sharing music is still done via voice on the Cardo unit/app.

If you are not sure, Method 1 is connecting your phone to BT channel 1 only.

Anyone actually use the wired controller? Can't see a use for it myself

  12. Can you put a picture of it on the bike on here please?

  13. The photo makes the unit look even bigger than it is. It's about the same size as the dash.
