Myocardial Infarction in 2016 which required two arteries stenting, followed by further chest pains in 2024 which have been diagnosed as Angina, requiring another artery stenting after ultrasound treatment to break up calcification, and ongoing medication. They are very satisfied with the results, particularly the bloods, and asked me in the nicest possible sense not to darken their doors again
I guessing that you have super low cholesterol? I hope you're not given a Nobel Prize for it, as otherwise a really unpleasant Orange manbaby will soon be banging on your door demanding it!
Well that is just fantastic news GG. Maybe see you at Newlands this coming Saturday, will be there from circa 11.45pm
LDL of 1.6, total cholesterol of 3.0 and an HbA1c of 41 & BP of 110/62 which he was extremely happy with. I need to get a little more strict on the diet again as I have had the overall cholesterol around 2.5.
Thank you, however you are extremely unlikely to see me at Newlands Corner as I’m usually on a course.
Just opened my email having got in from the hospital to find one asking me to make arrangements to collect my new car
Seriously, do you put a lot of your good health down to playing golf? I find that the benefits of walking 18 holes is more than defeated by the strong coffee, the cremated sausage bap at halfway and the two pints after the game! What is the secret?
My improved health is down to taking the advice of Mary & Angela who were my first cardiac rehab team, and Lu, Malcolm & Eliot who were the second one. It's basically a change of diet and taking more cardiovascular exercise, of which golf counts as absolutely bugger all because it doesn't get your heart rate high enough for long enough.
