  1. So far the rescue is going well, but have floundered with the badly damaged rear wheel.
I think it might be scrap.
Unless you know better or have one hiding in the shed you don’t need :D

  2. Maybe a magician welder?

  3. OK, where do I find one of those?

  4. No idea, ask around local I would guess...people with amazing skills hidden all over.

  5. I would contact a few alloy wheel repair shops. They will likely know of someone or give you some leads. Also yacht repair places have amazing stainless welders and they too would be able to give you a contact.

Then again there's a lot of people here who might know of a brilliant welder too.

  6. Personally I'd scrap it... as good as any repair may be I'd always have a sense of unease when riding it.

Plus you don't know if there's any hidden weakness.

  7. I have quite a selection of ali rims in my garage. If you post the size you want, I may be able to help if you’re willing to rebuild the wheel..

  8. That is very decent of you thank you. Rebuilding the wheel is the best solution. All I have right now is the tyre size, but will PM precise measurements tomorrow thanks.

  10. Happened to spot an advert for these guys in my old duffer classic magazine who could prove to be useful - "The Devon Rim Company"
