Vpns

  1. I think you are right.

  2. When back from Spain, I will get an eSIM for my iPhone Air on my main number and go full o on iPhone. And try the VPN with the company who I can't remember who I was going to go with.

  3. Nord VPN twas

  4. The VPN with Firefox isn't free at about £6 per month and I don't want something to that's tied to Firefox. And before I dumped it off this tablet, it went full-on Google Chrome so your searching would still be tracked by Google. You can search with other engines that don't track and I guess that's a consideration anyway, with whatever you use. I just got blocked on some BBC content here and that pissed me off. I thought that I would not use anything on this tablet because it has all my financial stuff on its. Maybe I will.

OK, change of subject: I wasn't going to look at buying anything with two wheels (or any wheels) due to the DVLA having this hate thing going, with me too tired of it to bother with any more jumps through obstacles - anyway, I can't jump ! But I have funds, so may just give it an, "Ah, fuck it!". I want a light (mega -important) single. Say 400 to 600cc. Could really be a twin. Any age as it could be a tinkerer. Actually, a small Ducati Monster with out ugly exhausts could work. I will research here whilst the weather here is crap.

  5. I've bitten the bullet.

I'm cold and bored, so I've just gone for Nord VPN on this Android phone.

I just went to the BBC to catch Trump sounding off. After I set my location to the UK, no adverts and I can get the video now. Next to try it on my tablet

  6. Luckily (very luckily) I went for my phone first. That was fine, but then I tried to install on this Android tablet and I couldn't, as although my email address had been correct to send me the unlock code on my phone, they had made yahoo into Yahhoo now, so I could not get a code for this device. Back on the phone, you cannot see any email address, so let alone change it, I feel confident such a bunch of shisters will charge me anyway, Makes me not want to bother.

  7. R other peeps using a VPN? If so, what one and specially on two Android devices and a Windows pc?

Now, I've started looking at the 1* reviews on a few products. The reply to a poor review and specific issue is typically, "well, who knew? One day, we will get our hands out of our pants and look into it, veerrrree slowly". I don't need this shit in my life, but getting the proper BBC website in Spain was worthwhile - even for a few minutes!

  8. Given up that idea.

All have many one star reviews with no specific help. I did PC support once and strangely enough, either reinstalling or just chuck the whole thing in the bin, wasn't considered acceptable. When I was manager, if a staff member uttered those words, then I would want them stacked, but in modern times, that counts as reason for promotion!

  9. Im using Nord vpn on 2 android phones and a HPlaptop on windows.
    Not a problem.
I think I've told you this before but borrow somebodies 5 year old to sortt your digital evices

  10. Nord VPN on iPhone, iPad, 2 MacBooks and a windoze laptop; no issues.

  11. The problem stems from email addresses being wrong, Perry becomes Peerry randomly, although Perry or Peerry is not in any email address I own. Even this sight tries to interfere, by randomly "correcting me" in Android. Now someone, somewhere believes "Peerry" to be correct. Even Yahoo, who know my email starts pm_l have got this "Peerry" thing going. I cannot tell if it is Yahoo or Google with the madness going.

All can wait until I am back in the USSR, I mean UK. What I do know is that away from home, Android is toxic. The next trip will be Apple. I have all the devices but thought Android devices would be safer. I could not of been more wrong.

  12. I've been abroad countless times with an android device and never had a problem. I suspect user error may be the culprit with multiple issues only you seem to encounter.

  13. One device was fine. It was when it tried to add a second on the same account that got peculiar behaviour. But I am unsure if its the VPN, Google, or Yahoo that's gone crazy.

I might try it again in the UK on my own network, but then again may not. There's a characteristic in reviews of them all, where it doesn't work and the reply is principly "go away" or "wipe the phone and start from scratch" to "let me pretend that I never saw that bad review" and that pretty much aligns with my experience.

  14. One mistake I made was to think that my main Android phone would be helpful for tickets and this new border shit that's supposed to be going on.

That was all crap. The only thing anywhere,, from home to hotel, that's needed (apart from uk trains and hotels) is the passport .

I couldn't of left the country without my passport, let alone board the ferry.

Phone has been useful, just like in the UK, but by no means essential.

  15. I might try it in advance of Spain Trip 2 with the set up done at home in the UK, before I travel. We'll see. Not sure if I use Nord though. Their support was non-existent but that seems pretty typical of the whole industry. The issue was two Android devices that seemed to shock everyone. I could not bother with it on my phone and just have it o on my tablet. I will want it on my Windows PC as well and that's where problems Mey start.

I'll start getting whatever I choose from Google Play on Android as you get time to reject shit before being charged. The VPN industry must hate that as it breaks their business model of charging up front and if it doesn't work, let us introduce you to our support specialist, Mr Tough Shit!

  16. I will probably just take an iPhone with me next trip and use nothing on it. On this tablet, I will install some brand of VPN so as to watch BBC content and my Netflix and Amazon Prime UK stuff. I will also want the VPN on my home computer just to watch foreign stuff in the UK,or stuff not available in the UK but available abroad.

Surely, surely, Shirley, that won't be enough to blow the software's mind? Although based upon my Spanish experience, it will be, easily!

  17. Another thing that I have just noticed is that the GWR app doesn't work outside of the UK. Why? Probably because they don't want Johnny Foreigner booking their rail tickets in advance of getting to the UK. DISASTER!!!

Presumably, the developers sort advice from Nigel Farage whilst doing the development. Why else would it be?

  18. You can use the website abroad
The app is for domestic use only

    From GWR
No, the app will only fully function if you are within the UK. However, our website GWR.com can be used outside of the UK to purchase tickets. Any e-tickets you have purchased through the website, will be available on the app once you are in the UK

  19. Yes, you are correct, but I have the app on my phone, as they encouraged me to do, so I don't see the reason not to use it. I should be able to use the app anywhere. The price's are all in GBP snyway and that's all you can pay in, so I don't get what's such a big problem.

  20. I wonder if I buy WiFi on the boat back and try to book summit, they'll get equally pissy, saying we can't possibly sell you a ticket here coz Nigel Farage fears that Frenchies could be close, as well as us GWR being rank incompetent.

Just wondering because I have a return ticket anyway.
