Just returning to the forum after buying a 2017 Multistrada Enduro today and it has one of these on the front. https://kingtyre.uk/k97-performance-touring/ I'm struggling to find any reviews so has anyone here ever tried these Chinese hoops? As it happens the rear is a half worn Road 6.
When I get the bike next week I will get a pair of Dunlop Mutants or Roadtek 01se on there. Seems a shame to scrap a new tyre, but if it's bad then it could scrap the whole bike.
Cambrian Tyres are the official UK importers of the King Tyre range. Yes, they are manufactured by a Chinese company who are doing what all Chinese manufacturers are doing, expanding out of the home market which is saturated. Cambrian are well known and respected tyre supplier and I can't see them becoming a distributor of a poor product. Andy
Or get good ones. Conti Road Attack or Trail Attack, Michelin Road 6, Pirelli scorpion 3, or Angel 2. Job done.
I've used the Metzeler 01SE on a tweaked S1000XR and they handled that okay, the same bike had Mutants with it's previous owner and was easily able to hunt superbikes... I don't see those tyres as crap.
Never said they were crap. Said the others were good. In 19” front wheel sizes, the ones listed are very good. Made the assumption that the tyres were for a 19” front wheel bike and not an S1xr. If you are happy with Metzler or Mutants, and dont want any recommendations, no issue.
