I'm heading down there. Two bikes (mine and my wife's) in the back of a rental van. Ridden down there twice before and in the van three times. To date I've attended WDW 2000, 2002, 2016, 2018 and 2024. This may well be my last foray to Misano as not a lot changes over the years, but figured this one being the centenary, it might be worth one last splurge.
So who else is definitely attending? Would be good to maybe meet up at the event for a meal and some vino one evening. Maybe it would be easier to start a new thread with a list of some ideas of where to go. I did find a great little place in Riccione that some might like to try..."Birradromo - Riccione", great food and a lively atmosphere. Very busy after 10pm.
Finally have a ticket for WDW2026! I have been waiting for two months and Ducati still has not sent codes. So I decided to try my 8 digit DOC number. Guess what? It worked! If you are still waiting for your code to be emailed, try to checkout with your DOC number. I know one other person that it also worked.
ok so bike collection confirmed inc stillage which allows transportation of basic gear i have no idea if i should take one piece leathers or not... who is wearing what and i guess it depends how much riding is done whilst there?
I’d say 1 piece leathers, whilst looking the part, will be incredibly hot. Whereabouts are you staying? You’ll ride to the track, park the bike in full sunlight, no shade (many bring a light bike cover/sheet to provide some shade), walk around all day, visit the various talks/demonstrations etc, then ride back to your accomodation. Note the ride there will be nose to tail traffic for the last 5km or so. Then, in the evening, ride into Misano Adriatico for the evening posing, again, one piece leathers will be hot & uncomfortable, then ride back to your accommodation. Jeans, a change of shorts in a back pack, T-shirts & an aerated textile jacket seemed to be the order of the day when I was there.
very helpful thanks staying in cattolica which is about 10km from the circuit im thinking i might want to do a spirited ride but def wont be taking a one piece now
When I went in ‘04 we stayed in Cattolica - we hired shit bicycles and cycled to the circuit. It certainly wasn’t 10km, more like 4km max.
No not AFAIK. I went in 2000, 2002, 2016, 2018 and 2024 and nada as far as manufacturers stands. You are more likely to see third party outlets selling clothing merch and the official Ducati store offering much the same. There was a "Brembo" stand there at one event IIRC but it was only showcasing their latest and greatest calipers, not a retail outlet as such. Top tip, try and blag your way into the exhibitors/teams village, where you will find a swimming pool and some decent offerings for lunch. Well worth the effort. In many ways I wish Ducati would open this up to third party manufacturers such as for example Fullsix, or Rizoma or CNC Racing, to ply their wares. There is the space for it but I suspect Ducati want to keep a lid on your potential to buy from anyone other than themselves which to me seems somewhat short-sighted, being as it is a celebration of all things Ducati.
ok thanks good intel i am holding off buying stuff here in the hope i could have bought some bling there might order it anyway for delivery to the place i am staying
