SS United States & SS America photographed at New York, April 7, 1963. They look similar, but when you see them together you realise that the older ship was smaller.
Big Daddy & Giant Haystacks. Brings back memories. As a kid, I used to go to the 'wrestling' (it wasn't really) in Ramsgate with my Nan. She loved it and nearly got into the ring at least once Jacky Pallo lived near Manston so he was a regular on the billing .
Many years ago, Alan Kilby, the deaf wrestler, used to work as a doorman in the night clubs with my dad, when I was 10, dad took me to the wrestling whennit came to Alfreton Leisure Centre, Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks fought, Alan Kilby was there too, I got some autographs, Alan recognised my dad from all those years previously
