Please edit your post so that “Speedo” isn’t capitalised, because every time I read it I have a mental image of you trying a pair of budgie-smugglers on for size
Went over Hartside Pass for the first time in a couple of years. Rode like a complete tw4t, I am the reason motorcyclists get a bad name. Should know better at my age.
Had my parked motorcycle driven into by a car driver, they first blamed it on the Sun even though it was a shaded area. I suggested that they were unfit to be behind the wheel due to chite eyesight. Then they denied it, harsh words were then exchanged. Currently digging through my parts stash for a footpeg, bike MOT is tomorrow chite timing.
I only don't ride like twat on my Scrambler, on my Supermoto I'm a twat riding up the driveway until the bikes back in the garage.
I pushed my bike out of the garage onto the drive so I could tidy the garage up to make some room for the gas engineer to service the boiler next week. When I'd done that I wheeled it back in the garage. The end result is now that the engineer can get to the boiler unhindered. Oh and there's now room to get another bike in there should I feel the need for another bike again
If there is no one around, and you are only risking yourself in the hills...go for it. In the past I've done my ferocious riding in the hills Monday morning at 11am...no one around. Perfect
Engine out. Took 30 minutes, unfortunately one of the swingarm pivot bolts has picked up on the crankcase thread and its knackered. Good job I have another engine, if the internal damage isn't too bad I might repair it. On a more worrying note, one of the 4 nuts holding the front end on was already loose
New tyres fitted for the 996 as the ones it came with where from 2008. Meeting some mates tomorrow and going for a first proper ride with the bike with fresh rubber.
Tried the bike yesterday, the needle was jumping about for about 20 miles now it’s steady. See how long it lasts?
Got the pig out (899) for a few miles this morning before the rain. Set off with engine light on and no gears indicated, a quick stop down the road and an off/on with the ignition and it healed itself . Maybe I should have taxed the Mt09 instead but it rode faultlessly after that and it was good to get back on it .
Decided to try and take the versys 650 out for a couple of laps of the village, first time on a bike since the work accident Wasn't too bad, but, after tge 2nd lap, my arm was aching and sore
The bike I'm looking at, the QS works both ways, it has, what they call, a rev matcher for the downshifts, fitted as standard
Last Sunday the wheel bearings collapsed in my tourer. Repared through the week Yesterday rode to east Kirby to watch all the bikes depart on the charity ride through the Lincolnshire Wolds. Mates and I had our own ride through the Wolds and then home After watching the Lancaster Taxi runs
