V4 Bsd! Error

  1. I’ve got a BSD! Error come up after a long weekend in the Wet Wales rain. ACC works fine, both mirror LEDs come on and off at start up, I’ve cleaned the Radar, anything else to try?

it’s booked in for a check in two weeks time, so hopefully will be diagnosed then if I can’t fix it ☹️

  2. Turns out it is broken wires going into the connector, bent at 90deg due to a Evotech tail tidy being fitted by previous owner so not covered under warranty ☹️. If I can find out what connector it is I can fix it, but need to pop the pins out of the connector. Turned BSD off for now.

  3. Take a photograph of the connector and upload it to ChatGPT or use Google Lens.

  4. Unless the model has been trained on workshop manuals, it will be a guesstimate. Be sure to fact check it before trusting any output from LLM's.

  5. Nothing to do with workshop manuals. The AI will trawl the net for identical or similar images. Google Lens is particularly good at this. I have used both to identify connectors and parts.

  6. Image reading is fine but again, it's a LLM. My point is not that it will be wrong, but it won't always be correct. Just something to consider with stuff like mechanical questions, or items that have specific responses rather than generic.

For connectors, given they are universal and plenty of reference images and context, I can imagine it's pretty good at finding some... I'll give it a shot.

  7. Using Google Lens and an image of the connector on a Ducati BSD module the connector was identified as:
    TE Connectivity 4F0972708
