Bloody hell , what a chore. Bought a new light smoked screen for the above. Changing it by the correct method, not loosing any of the wellnuts. Similar to the kawasaki zx10r c1. To change the plugs it's quicker to drop the engine. Lol .however the new screen is still in the box.
lol….yeah I had the same, thought but was gonna be like all my previous bikes but oh no.. The rubber well we’re not retained and dropped out…had to strip the bike right down…but it was fun….
i glued mine on the back of the screen then carefully slid it in place, then gently turned the bolts in. 30 minutes tops.
Well after a marathon session, the screen is changed. The rubber wellnuts are a really piss poor design. They should be fitted to the screen with a recess in the rubber making them fixed. Roll on another 10k and the desmo service cannot be much more of a faff. Lol..mirror is removed as they like to snap of.lol
