Hi guys having sold my multi I have obdstar iscan for sale, only a few months old so still updating and has all leads etc. Wanting £250 collected from Stockport area if anyone’s interested.
I found, in my experience with mine, that it does lag new models a little, plays catchup over time. You'll need to check the spreadsheet available on the OBDStar.com website for your model. This will indicate what you can do with the device. With the DVT Multistradas the capabilities were increased over time and things like the heated grip activation was added to the older 1200 after the later 1260 models. The spreadsheet shows the models covered and the capabilities for the current firmware. New OBDStars tend to come with a period of free updates, usually 12 months. After that you'll need to pay annually to be able to update the firmware. So long, as like me, you have a bike that has all the capabilities covered by the firmware you have then there's no need for a subscription, the OBDStar will still work. Some recent bikes seem to need a call home capability (Internet connection nerded) to reset the service indicator. Had this with a members V4 Multistrada recently. Pretty sure my sub was expired at the time and it still worked. Some other OBD readers need a current subscription to work at all. Depending where it was purchased, or what the owner has added, or not, it might not include the correct Euro5 lead that's required for more recent bikes.
Hi not sure on new new bikes but it worked spot on my 2017 dvt and then I used it on my wife’s 23 monster too and I have the later red obd lead too for newer bikes to go with it, I’ve just updated it this morning with the latest updates but it’s still able to update right till end of this year!
To check what it can do for your Ducati download the Excel spread sheet from this page of the manufacturer's website. You'll need to click the 'Function Manual' button and download the 'ISCAN DUCATI COVERAGE YYYYMMDD' where the last part is a date in that format. The current one is the 30th of April '26, However, this appears to be incomplete/incorrect. Hopefully this will be corrected in due course. If you want a screen grab of the capabilities of the OBDStar for your bike let me know what it is (model and year) and I can do that and post that back here (the most recent one I have is July last year though). I'd upload the Excel file but the forum doesn't allow that.
Unfortunately, as stated in my earlier post my latest compatibility spreadsheet is for July last year. This only has up to the 2023 Panigale V4. Apparently though the 2025 model was included in the April 2026 update. How comprehensive that is in respect of what the capabilities are I can't guess as I don't have the required spreadsheet. Do the V4 and V4s differ in respect of the ECU etc. or does the S model just have some extra parts that have no bearing on the diagnostics? Here's the 2023 data for the V4 E5 (no V4s listed), just to give you an idea.
Sold and posted to @Twinlover. Hope it does everything you need buddy, I only used it to reset both service indicators on my bikes and activated my wife’s heated grips through the menu on her monster!
