Grabbed a pic of my resident bluetit leaving the box just now

 

Have you ever fancied fitting a camera in the bird box?

 

This 1976 issue was a gift from colleagues when I left RR. I often randomly open it just to remind myself how much more I could have learned if I could have been arsed

 

The pictures of Zeus tables made me think of the same book. Mine's a lot newer - from the 90s - such a valuable source of information.

 

No - I just like to see them out & about

 

Every time I see the cover of that book I think it’s a drawing of someone rolling a spliff

 

Some of us roll with the same precision...

 

They are back in my box
I haven't photographed them this year but this was last years shot

 

Fairly sure there is one for sale, but for the life of me recall.
Ebay or Marketplace as I don't window shop anywhere else, if it"s the one I believe it to be it was up at close to 5K.

 

In my day I could roll a smart one without needing a micrometer.

 

My copy of Kempe's is a bit newer.

 

Mines a bit older....



710 page pre metric family heirloom, with ruler for scale, which probably explains why boffins all had baggy trousers with big pockets back in the day....
