  3. 100% as it served me very well over that period, also the van was sold 4 weeks ago............interesting times trying to operate without those two vehicles.
i'm looking everyday online at one replacement vehicle that can do both tricks.

  6. Started a little primary school pet project with the kids when we saw frogspawn on the grass. Scooped them up and put them in an unused fish tank with some of the pond water and plant life. Most of them have survived.

Seems we have 3 froglets, the rest still only have back legs. Now I'm tempted to do a planted aquarium as i like the process

  7. Remember frogs return to the specific pond or area where they were born (their natal pond) to breed, often repeating this journey annually. They are known to use sensory cues like smell and magnetic fields to navigate back to these water sources in early spring.
You may have just started something.

  8. Yes you are correct. The frogs are currently about 3 meters away from the pond they should have spawned in. That and the fact it's the same pond water their swimming in, i hope they are easily duped into thinking it's home!

My real worry is that the newts will get them. But hopefully when released they'll be big enough that won't be an issue

  9. We have a constant newt v tadpole battle every spring in our little pond.
    That’s nature!

  10. chasing down electrical fault on E-bike after using in rain last Monday. Got me home ok on the day but serves me right for putting away wet instead of "baking" in front of a cosy fire (like it is now).

  11. Liverpool says “hold my beer” as that was the most active UK port in the triangular trade, followed by London and then Bristol. There’s a big slavery museum in Liverpool - one of my cousins used to work there.

  12. Doesn't spraying with WD40 fix it? That was the only thing that would make my AP50 start on a wet winters night outside the ice rink!

  16. Shouldn’t have such tasty arms then

  17. @Biot is the expert on all things pool based, he's a dab hand at building them with pool ladders diving boards and rock features.

But having an Octopus in a pool would elevate you to Legendary status long into the school children's minds.

You just need to do it......

  18. I sometimes struggle to care for myself, bloody surprised I've managed to not kill all the tadpoles, an octopus may be out of my scope just now :joy: Plus the wife has only recently agreed to a planted aquarium and again.. only because i said we'd get snails in there..

  19. I’d vote for an octopus to run this country over any of the current lot anytime. :upyeah:
