  10. The 148 to Notting Hill might be delayed... it's currently north of Bobbio, Italy.
I'd love to convert one of these into a home!

  11. Bus and skoolie conversions are a great idea in theory, but not very practical for the UK. Almost no campsites can accommodate such large and heavy vehicles and they have strict length, weight and axle number limits, boon-docking would be impossible in most park ups in pleasant locations because a lot of car parks have height restrictions, almost all have width/space restrictions and save for on major A roads, UK lay-bys are car/van sized. Hence, you’d be limited to slumming it with lorry drivers at a service station or parked at the side of a busy dual carriageway, with litter and bottles of piss decorating the area and vehicles passing within 5m of you at 80mph all night. Then, next day, you’ll need to find somewhere else to stop for the night which can accommodate such a behemoth…..

Unfortunately, you can’t just buy a field and plonk it in there either, because soon enough some bloke (or bloke-ess) from the local council’s planning department will rock up with his clipboard and inform you in an adenoidal voice that you are in breach of the Town and Country Planning Act 1979, so you must remove it within 14 days, in default of which you will be prosecuted.

Sorry to piss on your chips :(
