Biketrac Issues

  1. I will but I’ve gone straight to Ducati so will see what they say, want to give them chance to sort it first

  2. Which is the right thing to do but if (or when) you fail to get satisfaction, screw the buggers to the wall :upyeah: Andy

  3. The only issue I have is I always forget to turn the key to turn the engine on when I’m moving the bike out of the garage, which always results in a call from the company to my mobile, the land line, an email and a text telling me my bike has been moved.

  4. Anyone else had issues with their Biketrac unit not recording journeys. Mine seems to only publish it's position once you have parked up. The unit is over 5 years old and I have had it transferred over to sveeral new bikes as I have moved on so don't know if it is just an age related issue. It also wont record the mileage covered. I have a sepearate discreet tracking unit attached which gives me a pretty accurate position but that too does not provide breadcrumbs. Beginning to think it might be past it's sell by date.

  5. Could be age related as mine does record the routes taken with breadcrumbs and mine is a year old

  6. Talk to Biketrac on the phone, they have been very helpful with us. They can interrogate the unit remotely. Andy

  7. Bought mine in 2018, it still records my journeys. I can download GPX files of where I've been if I so wish. Mileage reporting is also active and working.

  8. Same for me. Purchased in 2020.

  9. Ditto - their support is very good and can diagnose problems remotely.

  10. Bit late to this but I've had a brand new Biketrac tracker fitted to a Panigale V4S and I'm getting the same issues i.e. no journey logging. It's sat next to my Multi in the garage which also has a tracker - two years older - with no issues. The Panigale logs the key on and offs and also the location, but doesn't track the journey. I spoke to Biketrac who say that this is an issue with Panigales due to the compact nature of the bike and the potential for electrical interference with the GPS. Now this to me is not good news and I'm going to raise it with the Ducati dealer who arranged the install. So I don't think it's an age related issue, more an installation issue. Interestingly Biketrac suggested covering the bottom of the Tracker in tin foil. I have no idea where it's located or what it looks like to do that....

  11. That's interesting. Being a public forum I will continue this conversation via PM with you.

  12. Are there not two tiers of Biketrac membership these days? One comprehensive, the other a 'cut down' version? Might that explain the lesser functionality?

  13. I think you're right but I'm paying for the full fat version and getting all of the other functionality.
