40lb take down recurve bow. 18 yards. Bare bow/instinctive.

I’m quite pleased with that grouping!

  3. The one that’s in the red at about 10 o clock was a shot that hit and glanced off the nock of one of the other arrows but aside from that there’s absolutely no excuse.

  4. Got a 1963 3hp twin outboard running for the first time in donkeys years for a chap on the river that I’ve been doing some other engine work for. Runs pretty sweet considering.

  5. Booked all the hotels for a 10 night road trip to the Alps with the wife next month (in the car). Doing the Black Forest, Swiss Alps, vineyards in Italy, then doing the Route Napoleon, winding our way up to Mersault. Will have a few days off here and there, so we'll be able to take it all in properly.

  7. Myself and Mrs Visor have just been added to an Alps trip in September with a couple of mates as we now have the time off to join them. They are on a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer and a BMW GSA 1250 Triple Black both with pillions then they will have to wait for us to refuel on the Multistrada 1200s and Hyperstrada 821 :bucktooth:
It's been mostly planned, the only things I know we are doing at this point is Eagles Nest and Stelvio Pass but looking forward to the trip.

  8. Took delivery of a box of original Chelsea Whoppers. Very, very messy, but so good.

  9. Poor builder had to pin every one of those slats up individually, told me he bought a bag of 3000 nails and was “a couple of hundred short”. Not even allowed to use a nail gun.

    Plaster starts going up tomorrow.

  10. Rip my sanity listening to him banging them in with three confused dogs staring at me for three days solid too.

Rode to meet up with a group halfway round a route I’d never tried before. Far too much tarmac for my liking, but we did pass through some beautiful villages. Got a bumble bee stuck in my helmet a couple of miles from home but thankfully it didn’t sting me. Sadly, he looked a bit worse for wear as he’d hit my goggles at about 40mph. :worried:

  12. Er, bought tickets for another concert...

  14. I fancy a visit to Vietnam. Been promising myself that for too long.

I thought the Vietnamese economy was booming?

The UK certainly isn’t. Successive governments have seen to that.

  15. Disconnected from the grid and now running totally on solar. Really pleased with that. Now just got to wait for a Spark to come and do the final reconnection, certification before we can feed into the grid and eliminate the standing charge.

    Free electricity. Happy days.

  16. That depends on who is reporting what, and who you believe...

Still not a terrible place to live. :)

  17. could the initials of the artist be a J and a B?

  18. Not on this occasion; the band is called Legend, and it is an extremely good Bob Marley tribute.

  19. Bimble up to Holme-next-the-sea. White Horse for a pastry and brew. Hard paved bike only area just as you pull in. Excellent as rest of platz is gravel.
Near Docking on way there went through an horrendous farmer Palmer waterfall which was covering the whole road and not much of his field. Arms soaked as had mesh top on. If I was in a convertible I'd be livid&wet.

  20. Oooh nice. I was lucky enough to see what was left of the Wailers (namely Aston Barrett) at the Jazz cafe a good few years back - amazing.

    Enjoy GG.
