I have refitted the factory clutch slave cylinder on my M900 after refurbishing it, it's to replace the Oberon which I suspected was the cause of my neutral troubles. And what do you know, instant ability to select neutral and much more progressive action now.
Bought some new Kriega straps, and shortened them all, so I can fit my bag to the bike for a trip to the West Country in a few weeks. Think I’ll leave them on the bike, as I’ve attached them to the pillion seat. Was worried they’d rub the paintwork, but there’s plenty of clearance.
Ordered a fuel level sender for the Enduro online, yesterday's ride started promising. I should have around 1/3 of a tank and that's what I saw on the gauge, nice. Filled up and now it says half a tank. 20 miles later it's flashing the warning light. Other than that and a bit of lacquer peel on the swing arm (winter job) I'm loving this multistrada.
Drained the tank on my Superdream, replaced it with some fresh petrol, fired it up and had it running for a bit, then moved some more bits around in the bike sized hole in my garage
A night away on the maxi scooters to Exmouth in Devon . Mixed weather, but a good weekend away with good mates . 491 miles.
Fixed the wobbly seat on my Mt09 (if you’ve owned one you know what I’m on about) wish I’d done years ago as it’s so much better now.
Fitted a new rear tyre and taxed the S/F 848 had to take it out for a gentle run with the new tyre and realised why I've kept it 9 years when many others have come and gone. Can't make up my mind which one I've have as an only bike! SP Monster, 765RS or the S/F
Fitted a new fuel gauge sender unit, sooooo many screws and I couldn't leave the filler cap behind, fortunately I noticed joints in the vent pipes and got those separated. Goes in from the top on the Enduro
10:15pm arrived home from Albert left at 07:30 UK time. Had a 5 day trip with a couple of mates down the Western Front which started in Ypres Yesterday we attended the Funeral of Squadron Leader Morley-Fidler at London Road Cemetary just outside Albert. He was lost o 19/5/1940 and laid to rest exactly 86 years later
I’ve had to remove the Akrapovic full system from my Multi V4 in order for it to go through the Spanish MoT. Everything has to be standard. Getting it off was no problem but it’s been 2 steps forwards one step back fitting the standard system. Friday will be the 3rd time I’ve fitted the catalytic converter. This time I think I’ll succeed with the full refit. I say Friday because today we’re heading for the hills. I knew that Monster didn’t need selling too quickly.
Had a turf out in the garage and found some missing screws so put the CalSci screen back on; also found some mudguard extenders that I'd forgotten I'd put down there, so put them on the Multistrada just in time for the weekend's heatwave...
Had a ride around the Cotswolds this morning but it’s so busy on the roads I headed back to the boat. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how hot a Ducati runs!
Just fitted a cool cover to the seat, even last week in low teens temperature the heat through the seat and on the back of my legs was very noticeable in town centre riding. On a previous bike a de-cat really helped with that.
