  1. That sounds way too hot to be sat on top of.

  2. It was:worried:

  3. Removed the wheels from the Supersport, had new tyres fitted, refitted wheels.
Got 7.5 K miles out of the previous pair, Metzeller Roadtec

  4. Spent a couple of sweaty hours fitting the panigale swingarm with new bearings, and because it was apart, fitted the adjustable pivots bits supplied by @darko of this parish.
Must be worth at least 3 seconds a lap:joy::joy:

  5. Nothing mechanical, just 408 miles to St Marys Loch and home again.
Fuel gauge worked, Cool Cover was comfy and didn't let things get hot.. Successful day.

I did fix a puncture on a mates GSA, brand new tyre as well, I used his repair kit and half way through pumping the tyre up his mini compressor groaned and let the smoke out, Luckily I had my Stop&Go tyre kit with another compressor. The repair got him home and he's having that tyre checked and professionally patched next week.

  6. Took loose wheels for Sons bike for new tyres today.
I usually buy online but as I needed them fitted today had to buy a set from a fitter £200 fitted plus £25 for a new inner tube.

  7. I may have filled the bike sized hole in my garage with a new bike, and possibly even been out for a little jaunt on it too :joy:

Went up to my sons house, to see the grandbabby, then dragged the son, kicking and screaming, out for a ride, went to see dads grave :pensive:

Went to a nice looking pub for a quick (non alcoholic) drink, £4.55 for a pint of orange and lemonade, and it wasn't even orange juice, nit was all out of the soda siphon :astonished:

Done just over 130 miles today, got a ride planned with some members of the VJMC tomorrow, starting from rugby, going to The Piston Club near Stratford upon Avon

  8. At last got the standard exhaust system onto the Multi, everything fitted, torqued. Every last thing that should have been simple was, inaccessible, awkward, involved the removal of something else. What a bummer of a job.

Once through the Spanish MoT I want the Akrapovic full system back on. Doh!

  9. Shame it's such a ball-ache swapping the exhaust over just for the ITV. At least it's only every two years for the foreseeable future.

Is it technically illegal to run with an aftermarket exhaust there? Or are the police either just generally completely unaware, don't care about the regs?

  10. After the stater motor swap, which required change of coolant and oil (did oil filter change and oil mesh screen check too) I got 75°C open road temperature and then touching 100°C in town on the ride home. Once back ran it stationary to 104°C where the fan kicked in, down to 96°C and cycled between the two as expected. Somewhat concerned about an air lock maybe. Ambient temperature was 21-22°C on the ride. Normal open road temperature is 68-69°C on my 1260 Multistrada.

Will run it with the pressure cap off for a minute later today then top up, if I can find the time, to see if that helps.

  11. Got all the bits and bobs out of my garage that go with the 1098R (2 x exhausts, boxes of stuff etc).
It was all stored nicely at the back of my garage so I had to move 3 bikes out of the way to get to it.
My trackbike was sitting on stands with no forks/wheel so all that had to go back on just to move it…lovely stuff when it’s 30deg outside and lord knows how hot inside my garage!

  13. Washed yesterday's bug harvest off it, quick coat of spray wax, lubed the chain and now ordering a health insurance card for the trip to Italy next month. The 350 mile range should be quite handy.

  15. Met up with some other VJMC members at Rugby, for a ride out to The Piston Club, formerly The Stag at Redhill, on the A46 between Stratford and Alcester, some nice bikes and cars on show

  16. Decided that as it was the hottest day of the year, to ride a 220 mile circular trip to the Cotswolds. Only someone that rides a bike will understand the satisfaction of buying a bottle of ice cold water at a petrol station and pouring it down the inside of your jacket, on a hot day.

  17. That’s normal behaviour for my 2015 Multi 1200 DVT.

  18. Rear indicator stopped working on the 899 so a quick 30 minute swap for a new one turned into a 5hr total strip down of the bike. It’s still not working.

  19. It seems to be openly accepted. I often wonder how some of the young lads get away with their exhausts. They seem to love screaming around narrow village streets with off road bikes and no silencing what so ever.

The Spanish have an ability to turn a blind eye to many things, or in this case a deaf ear. They love noise, as I discovered last night at 5 am when someone at a local fiesta set off a load of firecrackers which sounded like machine gun fire.
