Alright guys hopefully someone can shed some light on this before I get mugged by my dealer. Went to take the bike out today. Headed down to fuel up through 20 limit roads. Got to fuel station and engine warning light came on amber. After fill up I tried to ride the bike home however I had no throttle even if I cracked it full open the revs only went up really slowly. However in neutral the throttle reacts as normal it’s only when in gear it is non existent. Amber warning hasn’t gone out even after disconnecting battery for some time.
Possibly but I’m not an expert on the Q/S. But in neutral it’s fine; I.e. no gear selected. Others with better knowledge hopefully on their way
that’s what I was worried about as I believe you have to change the full throttle body as the sensors aren’t separate. I’m hoping they need calibration or something rather than a grands worth of TB
I actually left it for 30 mins and went out and it was fine apart from the warning light was still there. Managed to go up through the gears and revs no issues but when I came back into the 30 it wouldn’t then rev again
I mean part 6. Still not cheap. If you need the sensor in the injection unit I would cross reference and buy a second hand unit.
You could eliminate the QS, as it's easy and free, unplug it, you'll get a warning light but it would rev out.
Have you removed the exhaust valve motor and used an emulator? I did that and mine started doing the same thing..!
Ah, can see that in your signature..! I have the same bike - The 23 onwards bikes seem much more sensitive for some reason. I have found that turning mine on and running for a few minutes then turning off, and repeating 3 times will clear the light (and limp mode). I am actually about to get the bike remapped to sort all of that out hopefully as I have removed the exhaust servo
Is your exhaust servo working? Can you hear the exhaust get louder and quieter etc? If not, maybe the valve in the exhaust is blocked?
I’ll have a look at this later. Supposed to be out on the bike today with some mates and taking the car instead.
Same here, nice weather on the Isle of Man (for a change) and supposed to be going out with some mates for a ride.. Getting remapped this week so until then will have to keep rebooting the bike
Chaps..... Im stuck at work, and missing all this glorious bike riding weather........ So my sp2 is up for grabs for a quick blast if you promise to bring it back clean lol
You say it revs out in neutral but not in any other gear. Is the gear position sensor working? Older variants 2018-2020 were swapped out for an updated unit due to overheating issues and latterly a cooling vent mod was introduced to channel air onto it.
Gear position is showing clear on the dash. I saw the previous issue symptom being it showed a dash as it couldn’t work out what gear it was in
