Normal operating temperature is around 171 degrees but today in traffic I was seeing 212 degrees. Once running free again it dropped quickly back to circa 185 and below. However, nearing the end of my ride I felt a terrific heat on my left calf but didn't think much more about it while riding. On arriving home and changing into shorts I noticed a red mark on my calf where I had felt the heat. On looking at the bike the only part I could have come in contact with is the frame. The cylinder head is actually quite close and i wondered if it is possible for heat transfer to warm up the frame to an uncomfortable level? Anybody else ever experienced this before?
