My first Apple experience and first impression is it is a Shittola sandwich - just thinner. So much weird stuff, The volume keys on the side ~ the lower key turns the volume UP and the upper key turns down the volume. What the fuc is that about? The SIM in my Android has been deactivated, if it still worked, I would junk this shit. But I am fair and will persevere. I’ve got another Android phone on a different number. I’ll take that to Spain as I have no rtust in this. It is mad thin, but so is a tissue ~ the tissue is more useful.
THE GOOD NEWS! i used the crappy iPhone to ring up the Coventry Building Society and as a phone, all was good. And that's all I want - a phone. On Saturday morning, I tried to use my tablet to log into my account. I log in with a PIN that is very, very familiar to me but I cannot give any clues. The app kept saying my PIN was wrong before finally admitting the system was down. By this time it had disabled the PIN and in a very polite way, told me to eff off. Either on Sunday evening or Monday, the app was back up but my PIN was locked. I then foUnd that I could not log in from their website as everything was locked, even where you don't use the PIN.. I was persona non grata. I just rang up (they were still open) and I pre-warned her that I would get angry. I only call when I am angry. I was told that the system never went down at the weekend and it was all my fault. I said to just close the account now as trust is lost. If the system was down on Sunday for maintenance, that is fine, but I didn't deserve to be treated the way that I was. I've closed the account and the balance should be in my Lloyds Bank account tomorrow. And I got £30 compensation - not for their incompetence, but mine, apparently! Nobody knows or cares. That's the BSA money sorted. The only criticism of the BSA Gold Star I read, is the suspension. I am looking for somebody reasonably local to me in Gloucestershire to sort out the suspension. I can easily fit new rear shocks but don't know what to get. I want to get the forks re-valved and possibly different springs. I'll ride it for a while and see what I fink. I did fit an Ohlins rear shock, I think to my Suzuki GSR-750. I used to do lots of track days, riding it to and from the circuit, And I never crashed! Might of done the Nordschleife with it. Can't say I noticed much difference with the Ohlins!
Isn't what you have? Press the bottom part of the switch and vol goes down. Upper part pressed makes the vol go up. No one can really say that is complicated. When you going to Spain? The weather is better now!
I am on the iPhone now but I can’t bring myself to have a play with the volume key. My mental health is more important. i will be in Spain in a week and a day. The weather looks promising
No SIri shit here! i was wrong . The buttons are right and there is a third button that I know not what it does But I will take only this phone to Spain. I will take my Android tablet as it has all my banking shit on it
I would contact Apple and suggest they publish information on their phones. Alternatively - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph4b302997c/ios
Third button is a programmable action button. Instructions here. You might get more out of the phone (or any other of your 'shit' devices) if you read the instructions.
Read the instructions? Read the instructions? Read the instructions? You jest with me, sir. I've just learnt that it is a key that you can customise. I've set it to camera. Got Lloyds banking working so I can overdraw to my hearts content. Virgin Money worked from the get-go and I do not understand how or why, not that I care.
Rotating the phone clock wise so volume is on top it stays as normal. Give it a year and ask yourself, do I want an android phone? How come you went for the air?
I don't know why. I remember seeing it in some phone shop in Plymouth (the O2 one, I think, who I am with) and it looked interesting but they stuck it down to the shelf, thus preventing low-life, well, any life, from picking it up. That pissed me off so I went in another nearby shop who had anti-theft cords, but you could pick the phone up. It is so thin that it cannot take a SIM card, you have to get a eSIM. I was kinda thinking that I should try an iPhone myself, so when I got back, I bought one from Amazon for a few hundred, but I can't remember exactly how much. I just want to expand my mind and try different stuff. I have only screwed up once so far, by somehow setting the ringer to mute. I noticed the mute icon, but ignored it as I thought the phone stupid. It was me being stupid and I missed one important call. I haven't tried navigation yet. NEW SUBJECT: I am thinking of flying somewhere when it gets colder and the kids have gone back to School. October mebbe. I want to avoid bucket and spade shit, Ryan Air, and crappy airports. So maybe British Airways from Heathrow, or if it is a good destination, I would do Bristol , Cardiff, or Brum if I can void Ryan Air. My neighbour was saying Cyprus is good but I think his boat stopped off there when he was in the Merchant Navy, because flying doesn't look too good. I am thinking maybe Gibraltar or Malta. I know what the weather is like in Southern Italy at that time of year. Any suggestions?
I’ve got a bit further now. It’ll be Madrid or Mexico City. All Spanish speaking with reasonable weather at that time of year, although I haven’t yet checked the weather in Mexico at that time of year.
Mexico City isn't that safe. Condesa, Juarez & Planco are OK in brightly lit tourist areas but be careful. Mexico is best at the Caribbean coast.
Yes Caribean coast is Yucatan and stand out easy destinations are Playa & Tulum but the idyllic beach life without the crowds is found at Isla Holbox these days. Belize? Maybe, but its harder to get to, costs more, beaches aren't as good.
