1260 Full Throttle Splutter / Hesitation - Fixed

  1. That's interesting, I was looking at that area on my 1260 Enduro over the weekend thinking how it catches all the crap.

It's already fitted with the Radiator and Oil Cooler Guards, but the Engine guard looks like a great idea, and it's not even stupidly expensive:

  2. It's a very small separate piece of the Front mudguard that tidies up and holds in position the brake hoses and ABS sensor cable etc.
It's held on by 4 screws, two of which are difficult to get to as the heads are behind the brake hoses that the plastic bit itself holds in place firmly enough to make it difficult to get an Allen key to.

You have to remove it before you can remove the rest of the front mudguard, so I can understand why some discard it.

  3. The reason I asked is I recently purchased a pyramid fender extender and it did not fit the front mudguard black section - it was way too big. I checked the part number direct with pyramid and it is listed as fitting the 1260 s multi. I wondered if an extra bit should have been attached to the black bit you describe.

  4. From the parts diagram for the Enduro, but I believe the 'Normal':) Multis have a similar set up.

  5. Glad I read the description properly.
The Evotech 1260 Enduro Engine Guard won't fit with the Tourtech crash bars, which makes sense when I looked at the images again.

I'm sure I can come up with something that does.
