Yeah it's the touring trips that would be an issue on a Hyper, unless I was prepared to stop regularly for fuel. The RS is going in for a service next week, so I'll get them to look at it. It will also need a new map from BHP, as I understand that gets wiped at the service, so maybe it'll sort itself out after that. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the RS, it's just this niggle I can't get past. I keep thinking about how perfect my Pikes Peak was, and wonder if maybe going back to one would be a better solution.
Not long to wait, I'm still looking at the end of July... I was a little slow placing my order (in February) so I've only myself to blame. Also very surprised to see an SP at the Bike Shed Show at the weekend, looked awsome but a little out of place given the surroundings
alright.. had my V2 SP over month now... nearly 1000 miles in, first service done, 2 track days done, dyno baseline done and plenty of blasts to Wales.. great bike with a few tweaks done, some in progress and lots more parts already arrived in garage to fit and video - yes, Hypermotardking youtube videos already covering all your talking points.
So picked up bike today - Std Hypermotard in Red..... LOVELY... 110miles home .... all good - comfort not too bad - had to stop for fuel for 5 minutes - but that was all. As I get home - pull into a fuel station to refill for next ride .... CUT OUT.... then filled up... pulled up to a traffic lights and waiting... cut out... so need to see how that goes... HAPPY so far... just need to wait the seat and slow suspension to arrive and get fitted at first service in a month.
If the cutting out happens predictably, I'd be straight back to the dealer for them to sort out! It's a new bike FFS...
The demo bike I rode did that twice when sat stationary, like it wouldn't tick over. Didn't do it again for the rest of the ride. Sounds like it could be some minor glitch thst the dealer can sort out if it keeps doing it.
Hypermotard now with a 100 year of Ducati livery, only 100 available, I'll just take the dry clutch and seat please.
Yes - I did mention it in the email I sent him - so will wait till first service (month)..... I also checked for the fuel gauge - NOT there and nothing in the Menu - Despite what the manual says..... Just a fuel Light. Fitted my Chigee and Tyre Pressure Sensors..... NO Clearance on the front wheel to caliper with the angled valve - So need to get that swapped to a Straight and Buy a New Sensor---- Damaged it wheeling bike in garage off the ramp... Bought Rear Stand - need a better front one to aid cleaning and Maintenance - So I can spin the wheel and check - not just move bike..... hey ho.....
they all do. esp the RS and SF. hate to think how much that will cost for a paint job and few trinkets
Does anyone know the Torque for the rear wheel nut - I Think 145NM - But not 100% sure. @nelly do you mind confirming? THANKS
There has been new software issued for the Hyper and Monster to address the cutting out. Released about a week ago. Check to see if it was applied to yours?
