This was the inside of my 620 Monsters tank when I got it. This is it being cleaned out. That is it rust removed and killed. Had no problems with it after it was sorted with new hoses, filter and pump fitted. So a bit of rust inside a tank does not really worry me as I know that I can remove it. Plezier
Paint blistering can be caused by condensation being trapped under a cover or tarpaulin and is often seen on classic car roofs when they have been stored. Could the bike have been under a cover at some stage?
Most likely because it has been resprayed. Modern water based paints require an oven heat to fully dry them. If that hasn't been done properly water remaining in the paint will later show up as small blisters like we can see on that tank.
Seems odd it's only on the left hand side though will see if I can get down that way sometime next week. Plezier
Is it possible that it could have been wrapped? I've had some wrapping done on a few car components and that has bubbled/blistered in intense heat. It was redone because I was told "that shouldn't happen" but it did. Again, just a thought.
Not sure about heat the listing says imported from Germany not sure how hot it gets there if it has been here longer then heat might be a cause as we get temps of 46C+ in the shade. Good thought though . Plezier
