Iphone Air

  1. Having lived out there for 2 and a half years I can tell you that hurricane season for Belize and Yucatan peninsula (Playa/Tulum/Cancun) is mid Aug - end of Oct.

  2. I give you the wrong idea. Fecking beaches are not what I want. Nor do I want a long flight. I think Madrid would be best for me. I'll see how I do with Spanish trains pm this coming trip. One option would be to take the Plymouth -Santander ferry to Spain and the take the train to Madrid. Failing that, I could just fly. I did Ryan Air once Bristol to Dublin. "The plane doesn't board for 30 minutes, so why are people already hovering the door for the gangway to the plane?", said Mr Innocent. Mr Ryan Air virgin didn't realise that a mad bundle to get a window seat would occur and as they sell more tickets than seats, so a few unfortunates would be waiting for the next flight. easyJet at least allocated you a seat. They just specialised in flouting planning rules by arriving well late, after the time planes are supposed to give locals some peace and quiet in order to sleep!

  3. Girona is worth a visit.

  4. RyanAir have allocated seats for years now.

  5. Do they? You sure? This was Bristol to Dublin years ago. Thinking about it, surely you have to know where everyone sits in case of a crash? Although planes rarely crash, the industry is obsessed with it.

  6. Everyone is allocated a seat at check in. Typically everyone who picks a seat more than 24 hours in advance is charged extra.

  7. If i were you I would stick to boats and trains
Airports are turning more to self check in and bag drops, a simple task I have found for us mere mortals but for you it could be an insurmountable challenge.

  8. As time is my friend, surpassed only by luck, I will see how I get on with Spanish trains, with a view of getting the ferry to Santander and then train from Santander to Madrid. So stay a couple of nights in Santander, then train to Madrid for a couple of weeks and then back to Santander for a night or two and then ferry back to Plymouth, That would keep down my stress level.

This BSA Gold Star that | am getting: The only criticism on ron tests is that the suspension is not much cop. It is built down to a price. Changing the rear shocks is easy and I can easily do it myself, but not so confident on changing the front fork springs abd re-valving. I cannot find anyone aryone near me who will touch the front forks. I will go as far as Birmingham, anyone know of a motorcycle suspension specialist between Bristol and Birmingham? They all seem to be "oop North"!

  9. That's because it great Oop North....Just don't tell the Southern pussies. ;)

  10. In order to:

I am fairly sure the standard issue suspension will be fine. Forget about it until its a problem?

However, there is are two places that immediately appear to offer what you are looking for

    https://www.unityroadmotorcycles.co.uk/suspension-services/

    and

    https://www.jhsracing.co.uk/

  11. Thanks. I've had poor experience with JHS when they pretended to know how to do Ducati valve shims. The upside was that lead me to Lougi Moto and Rich. He would not go and get the bike as he had "history" with JHS. So I had a gert big people carrier at the time, that without seats, you could just fit in a Ducati Monster. So I went to collect the bike expecting a good fight and the cnut wasn't there. He hid behind a girlie. So I collected the bike and took it to Rich in a people carrier! He knew what he was doing, unlike JHS, and I collected the bike a week later. How I got there to collect the bike, I have no idea.

    Unity Road look OK.

I'll potter about on it for a bit and see how I get on. It may be that journos where being overly critical. I'll see what I think, but it is just for going out for jaunts around Gloucestershire and South Wales. No track days, no long days, no speeding. Done all that and that's in my past. It is probably the wrong bike for speedy stuff and that's fine by me.

  12. my volume keys on my iphone
Volume down is bottom button left hand side
Volume up is top button left hand side

same if I turn phone sideways

  13. On mine it is like that with a third key you can assign at the top. That is the the top key on the left, with up and down volume keys below. So, the second key is UP volume and the third key is DOWN. If you don't know this (as I didn't) you assume that the top key increases volume and the key below decreases it. In fact, the top key can be assigned and the second key is volume up and the third key is volume down. This is stopid. Forget the assignable button and just have two buttons, with the top one for UP and the bottom for DOWN volume. If you really insist on having an assignable button put it somewhere else. There is only one button on the right that turns the phone on and off - although it can do other things, depending on the current mood of the developer. That assignable key should be low down so it is on its own on THE RIGHT SIDE, And this is a flaw in the iPhone that counts against it. I will take it to Spain and it is better than my Android phone as it is mad thin, but so far, I wouldn't say it is better to use - or even as good as my Samsung Android phone. I thought that Apple is meant to be more intuitive. It isn't. Setting the ring tnoe to a simple "Ring- Ring" is banned. It must be some melody that goes off when somebody calls and you think "what the fck is that strange sound?" What's so wrong with, " RING RING, RING RING", etc?

  14. It will ring old school style if you want? Settings/ Sounds/ Old phone.

  15. Perhaps for another thread ?

On your iPhone have you had to register that you are over 18 - and take a picture of your driving licence (that doesn't work) to verify your age ?

  16. Thanks. That works for me. Your instructions were not quite right due to Apple wanting to to celebrate a new model ny changing everything.

  17. Just wondering how people are getting on with iOS 26.4
I could not get age verification to work either with passport or driving licence. There was no warning before updating - just some info about emojis - and then next thing it was asking for pictures of ID :

  18. My iphone is on 26.5 and it hasn't asked for any age confirmation. It has probably decided -based on my face ID- that I'm old enough!

  19. Hmmmm  Apple have sold over 3 billion iPhones since they were introduced, yet they’re such a shit design allegedly - weird that.

  20. This is a UK law / requirement . Also, maybe you have had an Apple account for more than 18 years, in which case that is acceptable for age verification purposes. I bought a new iPhone last year, after not having one for a few years, so just set up a new ID for it. It said update available - which I did - next thing wants pictures of my Driving Licence - which does not even work - take a look on the net and it is all over the net all about it. Stuffed as it does not work.

Take a picture of driving licence - flip it over - take another picture - wait - please try again (repeat 50 times). So ended up with a +£1,000 phone that was restricted to being a child parental guidance, with inbuilt restrictions that you don't even know of - probably cannot even buy a round of drinks with it !

Okay if the ID thing worked but it doesn't - it just doesn't. That is the issue, go along with the age ID thing - but by the way you are wasting your time because it does not work.

Anyway, sold it to someone at work and bought a new Samsung S26+.
