V4 2027 Multistrada

  1. A mate wants to buy my bike. He bought my 1260. I've told him, the new model will have to blow my socks off to get me to change.

So does anyone know if there will be a new model next year?

  2. very unlikley, besides they are going to have a very difficult task in improving on the current brilliant v4s

  3. The timeline doesn't suggest there will be one next year:
    2021 - OG
    2023 - tweaks (Rally)
    2025 - proper refresh

At best, I reckon you might hope for a 'tweak' in 2027, and some properly new changes in 2028.

What sock-blowing changes were you hoping for that 2025 models don't offer? (asking for a 2022 Pikes Peak owner!)

  4. Automatic box will be on the next model. I wonder if we’ll start to see some hybridisation?

  5. Imagine the weight of a hybrid!!!!

  6. The timeline for a new model in 2027 is correct, but nothing has been announced yet. We should hear something in the next few weeks, if a new model is coming.

  7. Most probably. And no chance!

  8. Same here, 22PP. I’m not sure what I’d want if I’m honest. Nor am I convinced I’d change. I thought thread might be more interesting than a post about a race pipe invalidating your insurance.

  9. I went from the 24 plate V4s to the 25 plate . Suspension better , engine seemed more responsive / better fuelled .
Brakes good , but did change to the Oro discs ( my choice) more room for the pillion . But that said maybe not that much of an jump. I decided to change to the M1000xr , now thats a jump.

  10. You have perked my interest, can you elaborate please ?

  11. On the V4 or the M … I changed due to scratching an itch . Best scratch yet .

  12. I was excited to hear about the M.

  13. There were quite a few M1000XRs at the TT. I’ve got to say, they’ve got my attention.

A full system would be needed, that appendage hanging off the bottom of the exhaust burns my retinas.

  14. They are great bikes , super stable , fast , handle like a dream under pressure . The exhaust for me is fine . They are dam loud with one on and as usual , can’t get proper cover if I did decide to fit one , I fitted the carbon lower fairing to cover and it looks great . The 200 section rear works well to keep the power controlled at lean as this bike loves the high revs and rewards once there , it’s so fast .
I use it on all roads from bad back roads to fast mains and it’s flawless. It has all the race settings but to be fair on the road , set to Race But with dynamic / road settings is perfect ( this you can select) as you get all the adjustments / wheelie control / traction / slide control etc which is fun. You can leave darkies out of corners and still be on the back wheel . It’s ferocious but also tame when you want , and so smooth . Flat out or potter thro the villages at 30 in 6th gear with no chug , beautiful engine.
